Brookes is part of a small circuit and is unique in that everything we do is niche market. Our customer profile is unlike other town centre venues and ranges from 23 to 53+. We have an unusual atmosphere for a venue - that of a local pub but located in the high street. Brookes is known for its food and sport - we have four TVs but televised sport is never allowed to prevent our other customers from coming in and just relaxing if they want to.

We are a pub - not a club - that opens until 2am on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and although we have a dance floor area, we also cater for lots of our customers who still like to sit down and enjoy each other's company on those nights. We are popular with shoppers and business people during the day and have a reputation for being able to cater for all. We maintain the right atmosphere for safety and comfort by practising a firm but fair door policy and by frequently checking temperature and music levels.
